In Johannesburg, The Deluxe Package costs R34,999, with a Signature Wedding DJ, one speaker at the ceremony and another at canapés, and full party lighting. The Luxury Package, at R59,999, gives you an Elite Wedding DJ, a production assistant, uplighters and two speakers each at the ceremony and canapés. The Forever Package is R89,999: a Master Wedding DJ playing through d&b audiotechnik speakers, with a technician at the controls and a build crew. All three play until midnight, and travel to your venue is quoted separately.

If your gran will dance beside your varsity friends, The Luxury Package’s Elite Wedding DJ reads every age. Yes. A seasoned wedding DJ knows when to hold back and when to build, how to move from dinner to dancing without losing the room, and how to win over guests with very different tastes. That judgement, backed by the right sound and lighting, is what keeps a dance floor full.

In everything but the price, yes. Your Johannesburg package comes with the same level of DJ, sound, lighting, crew and free extras as its Cape Town twin. Gauteng has its own prices, starting at R34,999, and we quote travel once we know where you’re getting married.

Yes. Amapiano, Gqom, Afro Beats and local African music are all on The DJ Company’s Wedding Music Request Form, so you simply tick what your Johannesburg guests love and your DJ builds the dance floor around it. Add your own song requests too, and your DJ will read the room to decide when each one lands.

No, an MC isn’t included in The DJ Company’s Johannesburg wedding DJ packages, but we can provide one at extra cost as a specialised service. Ask for it when you enquire and we’ll add it to your quote. If a friend or relative is taking the mic instead, put their details in the MC section of the Wedding Music Request Form so your DJ knows who to work with on the day.

Mostly, yes: the DJs who play Johannesburg weddings for The DJ Company are largely Gauteng-based, and for certain weddings one of our Cape Town DJs travels up to play. Every one of them is vetted, trained and held to a consistent standard, and matched to the level of your package.

Yes. In every package the ceremony, canapés and reception each have their own sound, so no speaker moves while your guests do. For the biggest sound, The Forever Package has d&b audiotechnik speakers with two 18-inch subwoofers on each side. For a very large guest list or a complex venue, tell us your plans and we’ll quote a setup to suit.
