My Name is Anathi Besi (Besi Soulful)
I was born and raised in Eastern Cape, Lady Frere. At the age of 6 my family moved to Cape Town, Khayelitsha, Town Two which is where i have been residing since. I was raised in a family that shares a deep love with music. In 2009 I decided to bring that love into the DJ scene, I was playing mostly any genre, trying to find one that made me feel like this was what i needed to share and in 2013 I fell in love with Deep Soulful House, leading to the choice of my new DJ name Besi Soulful.
In 2017 I was the resident DJ at Kefu Lounge for the period of 6 months then in 2018-2019 I was the resident dj at KwaAce Epakini and can even name few places I used to play off Spine Road, Lifestyles, Seek Lounge, Rands Cape Town & Ace e Kitchen at the time I was playing with big name like EnoSoul, KnightSA, MackTen, Dj Ganyani, Dj Christos, Dj Tira & Ceega Wa Meropa just to name afew, I was also busy taking on events, creating a platform for underground djs and producer's. On the side side was my Ep called Book Of Kings That was released earlier 2020 and in June 2020 my mix-tape was featured on Lesedi Fm.

Currently i'm a resident dj at King Steak in Town Two and pushing Besi Soulful Sessions for people who love and support my music. My future goals is to play on Radio stations, big events and just to keep my brand growing.
