William’s story
For William, the right song is all it takes to win over a room.
William started behind the scenes and learned the job from the ground up. He began as an assistant to a DJ who played weddings and events, setting up the equipment and checking the sound before each one, and he has played as a DJ in his own right since 2017. He is based in Cape Town.
On the night, that grounding shows. He understands the technical side of every event he plays, and producing his own tracks has given him a sharper ear for sound. He keeps the guests dancing and the party going all night long.
Those early events sparked William’s love of music, and showed him how a single well-chosen song can take hold of a crowd. Music remains his passion.
