Capetonian violinist invariably achieves a mesmerising combination of visual and musical aesthetic, adding flair and poise to every event. Her performances are met with high praise from audiences and corporate clients alike. Renate is a multi-talented musician, seamlessly switching from jazzy vocals, acoustic classical violin music to uptempo and high-energy contemporary performances. Renate obtained her honours degree in Violin Performance at the Stellenbosch University in 2008 under the guidance of the esteemed Suzanne Martens.
With various accolades in both academic and performance fields, Renate was appointed as the concert master of the University's Symphony Orchestra in 2007. Former member of the SAMA award-winning instrumental pop group, Sterling EQ, Renate hasmade her mark as sought-after violinist both in the classical and contemporary music scene.
She is proudly sponsored by Yamaha Music SA and is the featured violinist in the eye-catching staging concepts from Red Cello Productions called the Bubble, Blossom Dress & Galaxy Dress.
She is also the founder & manager at Resound Music - a successful music booking agency based in Cape Town.
